I have known and employed Bees & Beans for several years. In that time they have done a range of gardening activities for me from a standard upkeep service through to a full scale re-design of a large area in my garden. I find them approachable and knowledgeable. They have always listened to my own ideas about my style of garden but provide that invaluable professional input from someone who gardens for a living. They are well organised – our garden re-design involved prep work, full scale daily work for weeks and then subsequently further work to enable planting at the appropriate time. Anna & Tommy brought in extra people and skills as needed, worked with all the suppliers and in essence made a fairly large job reasonably painless. Anna has worked with energy and enthusiasm to improve the school’s grounds and really bring growing to life for the children of the school. Her vision for the new Edible Forest means we now have an outdoor classroom, fully accessible vegetable patch, and will soon be reaping fresh fruit, herbs and vegetables from the beautiful new garden. We are utterly delighted with the work Bees & Beans have done for us over a period of months. I am a keen gardener and really wanted to keep the ‘wild and natural’ feel we had already, but wanted her to help us make the garden more child friendly for our young son and slightly less work for me. Anna listened to all our ideas and really ‘got it’. She & Tommy worked so hard in all weathers and were always friendly, lovely to have around and respected our odd family timings and nap times. The garden is now complete and we couldn’t be happier. It looks beautiful and still very much ‘ours’ but has absolutely met the brief and now has a fantastic living willow den, a big insect house and secret picnic area. They have also made a more boring area of the garden come to life with a kind of woodland feel. We love it and all enjoy being out there together.
