This Hanover gravel garden, planted in November 2022 is really flourishing now. Foenuculum vulgare towering over everything, Geranium ‘Rozanne’ spilling over onto the steps, Eryngium zabelii ‘Big Blue’ about to pop on the left hand side and Veronicastrum virginicum ‘Pink Glow’ peeping up by the bench at the back. #gravelgarden#plantsofinstagram#plant#plantdesign
Really pleased with this garden overhaul in Fiveways, Brighton, riding out old concrete; bringing it all.to one level and creating some nooks and crannies to explore by framing the whole garden with and oak verandah and putting in a kids fire pit and adults sofa nook, as well as our first scaffold board deck and …
Little Hanover garden finished and planted this week. A mix of perennial plants will start flowering soon (Geum ‘Flamea of Passion’ are in bud) and give colour, texture and interest throughout the year. We hard pruned a huge wisteria which is also starting to shoot back, and made sure the screening is on chukka posts, …
This week we have been turning piles of lovely English oak into garden structures. This garden on the hill behind Preston Park train lines has big views and level changes which we are embracing to make a cosy seating area to capture the last of the sun in the evenings. Paving will go in next …
All finished in this little terraced garden in Hove. We kept things simple, sticking sticking the levels that were in place but removing old brick planters and wonky concrete slabs, replacing them with oak sleeper planters, Indian sandstone paving and lots of Mediterranean planting.
This was a fun garden project. All soft landscaped with log edged, pine bark seating areas and lots of room for planting. The seating areas will be nestled within the planting, which emphasises seasonality – blossom, bark, stems and autumn colour as well as colourful perennials and grasses, and a spiky hedge for wildlife.
It’s taken a bit of time but been pretty transformational… From mud patch full of rubble to actual usable garden in Hove. Take a look below at what was there before!
Popped in to see this garden in Hove today, which we built and planted December 2018. Great to see it holding up so well in the recent conditions.
